Initiative Description: Literature search of school-based controlled studies that involved a physical activity intervention targeting school students implemented during physical education lessons or regular school hours. The literature search identified 129 studies.
Study Results: Increase in PA minutes; interventions with both a physical activity and a cognitive component tended to influence the students’ levels of physical activity more strongly.
