Lunchtime Enjoyment Enjoyment Activity and Play (LEAP)
Initiative Description: Implement the Lunchtime Enjoyment Enjoyment Activity and Play (LEAP) school playground intervention, providing moveable/recyclable materials with no fixed purpose to the playground (e.g., car tires, boxes, recycled materials).
Study Results: Increased mean steps and distance (pedometers). Significantly higher proportions within specified target areas engaged in higher PA intensities. Short-term effect after 7 weeks for chidlren’s physical health scale QOL, enjoyment of PA and enjoyment of intra-personal play activities.
