Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction

Initiative Description: Implement Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (8-week course for teachers that included guided practice (2.5 hrs/week) of mindful meditation by instructors, and daily individual practice for 15-45 minutes. Participants were also provided with guided recordings to support their individual practice) or mindfulness-based interventions with content and structure aligned with those of the MBSR program (e.g., Cultivating Awareness and Resilience in Education [CARE]).
Study Results: Reduced teacher stress, reduced burnout, Improved teacher performance, Improved relations with others.
