Initiative Description: The classroom guidance component of the Student Success Skills program was offered by school counselors to 7th-grade social studies classrooms in a predominately Hispanic and economically challenged school district.

Study Results: The program was effective at increasing feelings of connectedness to classmates and improved mathematics and reading achievement.
