Initiative Description: Collaboration between the SEL Lab at Rutgers University and Plainfield Public School District. The “teamwork” series was implemented in grades 2-3 while the “conflict resolution” series was implemented in grades 4-5. SEL lab staff acted as consultants, provided intervention support, monitored program implementation, and provided evaluations of the curriculum.
Study Results: Schools who retained site coordinators from the SEL lab were more likely to have SEL culture embedded into the district and the elementary level.
