Initiative Description: A recording of a guided mindful breathing activity was developed in consultation with a registered yoga teacher who had experience in stress management. The recording was approximately 5 minutes in length and presented mindful breathing as a way to get the brain ready to learn. The intervention was implemented once Daily, just prior to a previously selected class period
Study Results: Results indicated that participants displayed increases in academic engagement that were maintained at the 6 week follow up, in addition to decreases in disruptive behavior.
