Strategies-To-Enhance-Practice (STEPs)

Initiative Description: Strategies-To-Enhance-Practice (STEPs) framework for Developing 10 detailed afterschool program schedules and healthy snack menus. Ten intervention ASPs implemented the Strategies-To-Enhance-Practice (STEPs), a multi-component, adaptive intervention framework identifying factors essential to meeting Healthy Eating -Physical Activity Standards, while 10 control ASPs continued the routine practice.

Study Results: High implementation of Afterschool programs had the greatest percentage of boys and girls achieving 30 min of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity
