The School-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (SWPBIS)
Initiative Description: The School-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (SWPBIS) which incorporated a (a) organizing and training SWPBS support team, (b) defining behavioral expectations, (c) implementing systems to encourage expected behaviors and discourage inappropriate behaviors (e) collecting data to make decisions and evaluation effectiveness.
Study Results: improved school climate (student pro-social behavior, school communication/collaboration, educational assistance, teacher excellence, school leadership, instructional quality, and resource management) and decreases in student tardiness and unexcused absences.
