Initiative Description: School-based multicomponent nutrition education program. Students in the Intervention+ study condition were involved in the following 4 study components: the traditional Network–LAUSD program, standardized nutrition curriculum, teacher training workshops, and parent nutrition education workshops during the 2008-2009 school year.The LAUSD activities included programs that brought chefs and farmers to the school, theatre performances with a nutrition theme, physical activity, art, and the most common program, Harvest of the Month (HOM).

Study Results: Improved nutrition knowledge and attitudes.
